More snow than originally anticipated is now headed our direction.  The U.S. and European forecast models agreed that snow was coming, but the U.S. model put the heaviest snow further north, while the European model showed the heaviest snow in our area.  That is, until now.

Updated forecasts show the storm track has shifted south, lining us up for some of the most significant snow totals from the storm.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service, for Shiawassee County, beginning at 1am on Monday November 26th and ending at 1pm the same day.  The agency advises that we could see up to 6 inches of snow by early afternoon on Monday.  Immediately to our west, however, including portions of Clinton and Ingham counties, as many as 8 inches of snow is beginning predicted.  A full foot of snow could fall in Ionia county.  That would be the greatest anticipated snow totals in Michigan as this storm moves toward Europe, hence their keen interest in the storm's path across the U.S., MLive meteorologist, Mark Torregrossa explains.
