The 40th Annual Odyssey of the Mind World Finals was held at Michigan State University's Breslin Center, May 22nd through 25th.  Teams from across the country and across the globe converged on the campus of MSU to tackle a variety of problems.

Of four World Finals qualifying teams from Corunna, Corunna High School's team of Grace Basso, Lilly Evans, Alan Jones, Henna Nellis, Isabel Rau, David Harris and Alex Sanderson claimed the World Championship title for their problem in Division III.

OMER to the Rescue Again, a vehicle problem, challenged teams to assemble a mobile vehicle that would "save the day." Teams then had to disassemble the vehicle and transport it via suitcase to its next "save the day" assignment.

Problem 5, "Opposites Distract," challenged teams to create and present a humorous performance about a sneaky character that distracts others while trying to take control of something.

Corunna's OM teams are coached by George, Judy and Dan Flynn, Steve and Anna Rau and Jan Ray.  "So proud of this team," Steve Rau wrote in a late Saturday Facebook post.
