Corunna's Team FridgeBot won the LSSU Sault Saint Marie district event on Saturday.  Also, Becca Walton won the Dean's List nomination, "which reflects on her accomplishments and contributions to the team and community," the team's lead mentor, Scott Stap, told Corunna Now.

Both the team and Becca are moving on to States competition to be held at Saginaw Valley State University.

The registration fee for attending States is $4,000.

Help the team raise the necessary funds to attend through the FridgeBot Foundation Inc.  Find more information coming soon to www.FridgeBotFoundation.org.

If the team moves on to the world competition, it will be another $5,000 .  That's a total of $9,000 the team needs to raise in the next two weeks, Stap said.

Stap said, "Team FridgeBot is very confident and excited to be attending States (and worlds...) and sees it as a great opportunity to showcase Shiawassee skill and Corunna dedication."

Stap noted that members of Durand and Byron's robotics teams assisted Corunna at the Soo Locks event.

Sada Reed from Durand stopped in and prepped Becca on her Dean's List presentation.  Madison Pellman from Byron joined Corunna for the weekend and earned a third place safety award along with demonstrating some amazing scouting skills that picked the team's winning Alliance choices.
