Darling crossed the finish line at the 18:28.4 mark. Wright followed at 20.38.1, and just after crossing the finish line, backtracked down the route a bit to cheer on her good friend, Simon Freeman, also of Corunna, who crossed the finish line at 23:11.9. Freeman took first place in the M 15-19 division.  Wright took first Overall for women.

The Glow 5k was immediately followed by the Glow Parade and the lighting of the Christmas tree, the city's largest ever, standing at 37 feet, it was announced.
