On Friday, the Environmental Protection Agency announced a $100 million emergency grant for infrastructure upgrades and replacing the pipes in Flint.

Congressman Moolenaar fought for the federal government to fund pipe replacement in Flint and initially proposed funding that passed the House in September of 2016.

Congressman Moolenaar released the following statement today:

“All levels of government had a role in this crisis and I am glad the federal government is making this much-needed money available to help Flint rebuild its critical water infrastructure. This funding should be put to use immediately and in the most effective manner possible so the people of Flint will have clean drinking water as soon as possible.”
