Walkers stepped off bright and early, at 8am, on Monday - Labor Day, for the 14th Annual Owosso Corunna Labor Day Bridge Walk.  The Mighty Mac Walk '17 brought a compete closure of the bridge to vehicle traffic for the first time in history, as well as freeway restrictions as far south as Gaylord; not to mention it's not exactly next door.  Meanwhile, the Owosso Corunna walk, which began at the Heritage Footbridge in Owosso, taking participants down James Miner Trail, was free and didn't involve a lengthy drive, or worse, a lengthy wait on I-75.

McCurdy Park in Corunna invited walkers to rest and enjoy a pancake breakfast before boarding the bus back to Owosso.

Funds collected from the breakfast and t-shirt sales will go toward maintenance and improvement of the trail.

Share your photos with us!  Whether you walked from Owosso to Corunna or walked from one peninsula to another, we want to see!  Send them to breaking@corunnanow.com or share them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
