From Lansing to Flint, power outages have been reported to Consumers Energy, and thousands of customers in Shiawassee County are affected.  Just before 11pm, Consumers' outage map showed outages in Shaftsburg, rural Perry, Morrice, Durand and rural Owosso.

Meanwhile, we've received reports of outages in Durand and Corunna, and wind damage in Durand, Lennon and Swartz Creek.  Miller Road west of Elms in Swartz Creek closed earlier this evening due to a tree and power lines down and was still closed at around 9pm.  The Taco Bell restaurant in Swartz Creek sustained damage when a gust of wind caught the door and shattered it.

The Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service originally scheduled to expire at 10pm has been extended until 12am for Shiawassee County.
